DISCIPLINARY MANAGEMENT, INVESTIGATIONS & HEARING PROCEDURES PROGRAMME

The Disciplinary Management, Investigations and Hearing Procedures Programme is a non-accredited skills programme designed to provide practical workplace training and professional development in the effective management of employee misconduct, workplace investigations and disciplinary processes.

While this programme is not accredited, it is aligned to South African labour legislation, labour relations principles and relevant QCTO occupational standards, drawing on elements of the Occupational Certificate: Labour Inspector (SAQA ID 118748) curriculum to ensure industry relevance and practical application.

The programme focuses on developing real-world competencies required to manage disciplinary matters confidently and professionally, including conducting workplace investigations, gathering and evaluating evidence, preparing disciplinary documentation, chairing disciplinary hearings and making procedurally and substantively fair decisions that can withstand scrutiny before the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) and relevant Bargaining Councils.
